To talk about BERA is to talk about how our stories crossed paths almost without looking for it.

It all started with me, Raquel, who after many years of sewing and testing patterns at home, often had the feeling that they could be better: with more carefully considered sizing, more modern designs, and detailed instructions and video tutorials. With that idea in mind, I started sharing on Instagram everything I was learning — tips, curiosities and honest opinions about the patterns I liked —, creating a space designed to accompany other people who were also learning.

At that point, Juan — Raquel’s brother — and I, Natalia, were working together at a digital marketing agency, and we decided to lend Raquel a hand with social media. When the project started to grow, we joined to help shape it and grow the community. What started as a collaboration gradually became something more: between ideas, shared hours and many conversations, not only did the project grow, but so did our friendship.

Over time, Juan decided to focus on other projects, and we took the step of committing a hundred per cent to BERA. So, in mid-2025 in Madrid, we founded the company, with the idea of creating something of our own, but above all of building a space where sewing, fashion and pattern-making would come together in a more personal, accessible and contemporary way.

Today, BERA is a platform and a community where you can learn, create and experiment at your own pace. We develop digital patterns and educational content designed to accompany you at every step, whether you are just starting out or want to keep learning and developing your skills.

BERA is our story, but also the story of all the people who are part of it. Thank you for being here.
