What the experience will be like
Three-hour beginner evenings, and full days with a break for lunch and nibbles on us. The times for each date are in the calendar.
We provide the machines and the basic materials: pins, scissors, rulers and so on.
At the end of the class we send you the digital pattern and the instructions, so you can make the project again as many times as you want.
Whether you already sew or you are starting from scratch, we guide you the whole way. Each date works on different techniques, depending on the workshop.
On the full-day workshops you finish the garment and put it on that same day. Made by you, to your measurements.
The workshop has a specific date and time, so the booking cannot be refunded or changed. Before paying, check carefully which city and day you are booking. If the workshop is cancelled by the BERA team, you will have the option of a refund or of attending on another date.

Do I need previous experience?
No. Some sessions are designed for absolute beginners, and in all of them you will have constant support and guidance.
Do I take the finished garment home?
It depends on the format. On the full-day workshops you leave with the garment finished; on the beginner sessions you take home what you have made and the basics to carry on at home. We say which on each date’s page.
Can I come on my own or with someone?
Whichever you prefer. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, so you can come alone to switch off and meet other people, or with friends to share the experience.
What do I need to bring?
We tell you on each date’s page: depending on the workshop you may or may not need to bring fabric. We provide the rest: pattern, working materials and sewing machines.
How many people are there in each workshop?
A maximum of 10 people per session.

Can I change or cancel my booking?
No. Places cannot be refunded or changed, because the workshop has a specific date and time. That is why we ask you to check the city and the day carefully before paying.
If for any reason we have to cancel the workshop, you can choose between moving your booking to another available date or getting a full refund.
