Sew your own bag

A morning to learn new techniques while you make a Japanese Knot Bag, a small, original bag that closes by slipping one handle through the other. No previous experience needed: we are with you throughout the workshop, showing you step by step and answering every question.

What you will learn

You learn by doing. We show you how to use a modern sewing machine so that you get comfortable with it and gain the confidence to carry on sewing on your own.

You will work on the pieces that make up the bag, the curves, joining the layers and neatly finished handles, and you will see how to put it together to get its characteristic shape and a lovely finish inside and out. And if something does not work first time, we do it again with you.

What you will sew

Your own Japanese Knot Bag, from the pieces of fabric to the finished bag, ready to take home the same day. One handle slips through the other to close it, and that little knot is what gives it its name.

It is a short but very complete project: you discover how a few pieces of fabric become an accessory with shape and structure.

What the session is like

We sew together in a group of no more than five people, step by step and without rushing, adapting to each person’s pace. You can come even if it is the first time you have sat down at a machine, or if you already sew and fancy a different design and a morning among fabrics.

What is included

We provide everything: your machine ready to go, the fabric and the rest of the materials, all included in the price. Coffee and a drink for the break too.

You do not have to bring anything. Come ready to sew and, at the end, your bag goes home with you, made by you from start to finish.
